We are committed to

6.To ensure that pupils are not discrimated on the grounds of sex, race, colour, religion, age, dsability, national or social origins or other status.
7. Undertake continuing professional development to ensure knowledge and practice remains current as required by our professional awarding bodies.
8. Ensure that no action or omission on our part or within our sphere of resposibility is detrimental to the interest and safety of our pupils.
9. Ensure the provision of liability insurance.
10. Ensure the flooring approriate to the technique taught and the space being used to minimise the risk of injury.
11. Ensure that students/teachers/helpers are trained and supervised to ensure maintenance of the school's teaching standards.
12. Apply to approriate teaching aims and assessment procedures to our pupils.
13. Encourage communication between our pupils and ourselves.
14. Recognise and develop each pupil's potential and offer approriate guidance for further progress.
15. Ensure that the teaching and choreography must be anatomically safe and physical correction will be attempted in a careful and sensitive manner.
16. We are commited to fair and equal assessment of our qualifications. We expect all learners regardless of age, sexual orientation, gender, race or disability to have equal and fair access to all assessments we provide.
17. A register is kept and produced in event of evacuation of premises.
18. To keep records of all our pupils U18s while they are still pupils of Cheltenham Ballroom (date of birth, address, academic school, allergies).
19. Concise arrangements for the U18s, must be made with parents and carers about the collection of children from classes. We must be made aware that we are informed of any changes in these arrangements.
20. Ensure bullying between pupils do not occur. Although we hope we do not need to restrain a pupil, the following will be acceptable reasons:
If a removal of the premises is necessary, we will call the parent, carer (U18) or police to do so.
21. We will conduct all our activities professionally and with integrity. We take great care to be completely objective in our judgement and any recommendations that we give, so issues are never influenced by anything other than the best and proper interest of our pupils.
22. Ensure that all Private Lessons are conducted by a professional teacher and assessments to be conducted by a qualified examiner and for the U18s an adult to be present during the lesson and the assessments.

We always conduct our own services honestly and honourably, and expect our pupils to do the same.
Confidentiality
We are committed to maintaining the highest degree of integrity in all our dealings with our pupils and the protection of all personal information received.
Safeguarding
We recognise that we have an explicit duty to safeguard and protect children, young people and vulnerable adults from abuse as defined in the Children Act 2004, The Education Act 2002 and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.
We ensure that there is a safe environment of examinations and assessments of our pupils.
We provide approriate training to our staff/helpers/volunteers in issues of child and vulnerable adult protection.
We establish and maintain an ethos where children and young people and adults feel secure and are encouraged to talk and are listened to.
We take all reasonable steps to prevent any staff menbers/helpers/volunteers, persons working for us from physically, emotionally or sexually abusing any child or vulnerable adult.
We report any incidents or suspicion of abuse promptly.
All accidents involving anyone is reported in the accident book.
All staff/helpers/volunteers are familiarised with the building/facility safety issues such as fire procedures, location of emergency exits, emergency telephone numbers and first aid equipment.
All staff/helpers/volunteers including examiners have an up to date CRB/DBS disclosure.

Fees
Our fees are always competitive of what we provide which is a high quality, tailored and specialist service.
As we generally do not offer arbitrary discounts. That said, we always try to propose solutions which accomodate our pupils' available budgets and timescales so we and our pupils can plan what lies ahead, and how it is to be achieved and financially justified.
We expect fees to be made before or on the start of the new 6 week block or half a term (children's ballroom) unless with prior arrangement.
